A Nigerian man has been charged with dealing drugs at the Boksburg Flea Market after officers found him with illegal tranquillizers hidden in his underwear yesterday.
Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department spokesperson, Wilfred Kgasago, said that officers had received a tip-off about the dealer and placed the man under surveillance.
The 32-year-old Nigerian national was detained at Boksburg North Police Station after charges of possession and dealing in illegal substances were registered
The man was approached and arrested when drugs were found hidden in his underwear.
Thirty-two bags of crystal meth and cat valued at R12 500 were retrieved from the suspect’s underwear.
Cash amounting to R1 530, suspected to be proceeds from drug-dealing, was confiscated from the suspect.
He is expected to appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court Tomorrow.
