Mitchells Plain family traumatised after woman is killed during hijacking

A Mitchells Plain man has described the murder of his sister as surreal.

Elanor Wyngaard was hijacked and shot dead outside her Westridge home earlier this week.

Her brother Edgar says the family is deeply traumatised he says It was a total surprise because the area they live in is very quiet.

He added there are no gangs in the area but he’s realising now that it’s widespread and hijacking is happening more and more.
