2 arrested in Bellville for R3.2M illegal Abalone and crayfish

Metro police arrested 2 suspects in Bellville on Saturday for being in possession of abalone and crayfish, valued at approximately R3.2 million.

Mayco member for Safety and Security, JP Smith said officers found more than 6 400 units of abalone stored in three big deep freezers inside the garage, four whole crayfish, 40 crayfish tails and approximately R150 000 in cash.
