29-year-old business burglar caught red handed in Standerton
Police in Standerton caught a 29-year-old business burglar in the act on 1st of February 2023 around 03:25 in the morning.
According
to Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, the security response team informed the police that
an alarm had been triggered in one of the business premises, and police swiftly
attended to the call.
The
suspect was arrested on scene, after being caught red handed.
“The
suspect believed to be behind a string of business burglaries in Standerton was
caught red-handed. He was reportedly found still damaging the air conditioners
with the possibility of unlawfully gaining access to copper cables inside “.
Mohlala
stated that the Standerton area has previously experienced business burglaries
whereby access was gained by suspects through the roof.
The
arrested suspect is due to appear at the Standerton District Court on Friday,
03 February 2023.
