The case against the alleged Parliament arsonist, Zandile Mafe, was adjourned in the Western Cape High Court until 17 March.
The adjournment was
granted so his legal team could work out the logistics of his psychiatric
observation.
Mafe refuses to be
admitted to the Valkenberg Hospital in Cape Town, and instead wants to be
observed by a hospital in the Eastern Cape.
However, his legal
representative, Luvuyo Godla, did not want to see the reasons for his client.
He was arrested more than
a year ago, after a fire left a large part of the Parliament in ruins.
He faces charges including
terrorism, arson and theft.
