Illegal firearms and ammunition was seized from a premise in Freedom Park, Belhar yesterday afternoon.
This after police received a tip-off from members of the public.
According to police two shotguns, two rifles, two revolvers, one zip gun, fourteen magazines and large quantity of ammunition was found on the premises.
Police spokesperson Siphokazi Mawisa says,” these firearms and ammunition were found in a dustbin behind the door”.
She added that “no arrest has been made yet, but theinvestigation continues”.
