A 24-year-old German national was rescued at Llandudno beach after a near drowning incident today.
NSRI spokesperson Craig Lambinon said Sven Lange from Keil in Germany was rescued by his best friend Jacob Whitekey also from Germany after being submerged underwater for more than two minutes.
Lange was in a serious but stable condition after he was pulled by strong rip currents.
He was stabilised on the scene and taken to the Christiaan Barnard Memorial hospital for observation for secondary drowning.
