The City of Cape Town will be hosting an Arbor Day event for the community of Heinz Park in Philippi. They will be planting thirty Ficus trees at the Lillie Road Park.
The plants are being planted in order to further develop the park and allow the community to get involved as part of City Parks’ Community Maintenance project.
This project also hopes to help the people of the community by providing job opportunities and brining the community together.
