The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) says it will be on high alert for the whole week as bad weather is expected to remain around the Cape Town.
Swells reaching 7-metres high were around the Cape's coast at the weekend.
The NSRI's Craig Lambinon says he is thankful people heeded severe weather warnings and stayed on dry land.
