Slain autistic man from Pelikan Park to be laid to rest

An autistic man from Pelikan Park will be laid to rest on Saturday morning, after the 23-year-old was found stabbed to death with his hands tied with a black belt, last Friday. The mother reported Kamryn Naidoo missing the day before.

It is believed the well-loved man was killed by someone known to him, as CCTV footage obtained from residents in the area showed Naidoo entering a bushy area with the suspect. Upon the discovery of the body, it was revealed that Naidoo was robbed of his phone.

A suspect has since been arrested and 27-year-old Abdul Razak, who appeared in court on Monday, will reappear in the Wynberg Magistrates’ Court on 19 of March for a bail application.

‘’Police are investigating a murder case following the discovery in Beek Road, Pelican Park on Friday, 1 March 2024. According to reports, SAPS members were on duty when they received a complaint of murder. On their arrival at the crime scene, they found the deceased lying on the ground with multiple stab wounds to his body and his hands were tied up with a black belt,’’ said captain F.C van Wyk.

Naidoo’s funeral will be held in Ottery, where after he will be cremated.
