Tropical storm hits Northern Vietnam

Almost 125 people are expected to be dead or missing after heavy rains caused a tropical storm in Northern Vietnam. It has been confirmed that thus far, tropical storm Kammunari has claimed the lives of 86people.

At least 300 houses have been completely destroyed, while 3500 houses are expected to be damaged after the floods. Large areas of crops in the area are also reported to be destroyed as 5 000 hectares of land is completely ruined. Troops who responded quickly have been sent out to flooded areas to supply emergency services such as clean fresh water food and medicines, after the natural disaster left people stranded.
