The ANC president Jacob Zuma has encouraged graduates to use their skills for the betterment of society.
He was speaking at the Bhekuzulu Hall at the University of Zululand. The African National Congress president says education is a tool to break the cycle of poverty.
Zuma stressed that all schools had to be safe environments and called for an end to pupils who attend schools carrying weapons.
