Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga says her department does not have the money to implement an Occupation Specific Dispensation, despite having signed an agreement with trade unions.
According to reports, Motshekga told the South African Democratic Teachers' Union(SADTU) national general council in Benoni on the East Rand, that the pace of implementation would be determined by the availability of funds.
The government and unions reached the agreement on the OSD this week, a move summoned by the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) and teachers’ union SADTU.
