The City of Cape Town has ordered the eviction of Mitchell’s Plain traders by next week.
This after a deadlock was reached between the two parties. The City says they can take the matter to the highest court if they want to.
The traders are now fed up and they say they are ready to take to the streets by demonstrating on the Mayor’s office and the Premier’s.
Trader Misckha Cassiem says they also lodged a complaint at the Human Rights Commission regarding their foreign traders, fearing that another xenophobic attack might flare up.
