Two cars collide in Salt River

Two cars were involved in an accident on the Victoria Road in Salt River this afternoon.

The cars were both travelling to the Cape Town direction when the accident occurred.

According to the white Mercedes Benz owner Kashief Jeppie he was indicating to the garage and the owner of Polo classic, Sgu Shangase hit his car and it swerved hitting the shop next to the garage.

Meanwhile, Shangase says he was driving on the right lane while the Mercedes came to hit him.

Tasty bites shop owner Alubar Ali Camroodien says he heard a commotion and people who were outside ran inside the shop.

“My car was outside when the accident happened and luckily my customers are safe, I heard screaming, when I stepped outside there was a car in my wall” said Camroodien.

No one was injured during the incident. Police on the scene refused to comment.
