The South African Government has confirmed that at this stage, no South African nationals are reported to have been involved in the destructive Indonesian and Samoan earthquakes that struck in the early hours of today and earlier in the week.
In a statement, government has conveyed its deepest condolences to the governments and people of Indonesia, Samoan islands and Tonga.
“At these trying moments the prayers and thoughts of the South African Government and people go to the families of the deceased people in the countries affected by these disasters”.
