Armed robbery at petrol station in Gordon's Bay

Gordon’s Bay police are investigating cases of business robbery, murder and attempted murder following a robbery at a supermarket in Faure Marine Drive, Gordon’s Bay on Monday evening.

The police’s Wesley Twigg said it is understood that unknown gunmen entered the grocery store and held up the staff at gunpoint.

‘’They took an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene. A shootout between the suspects and local security ensued in which a 35-year-old man was fatally wounded and a 32 year old male wounded. The 35-year-old man was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel, while the other victim was taken to a medical facility for medical treatment,’’ said Sergeant Wesley Twigg.
