Eight killed in three separate incidents in Khayelitsha

Eight people were killed in three separate incidents in Khayelitsha on Wednesday morning.

Bush Radio News previously reported that five people were murdered in Ncumu Street.



Western Cape police confirmed that three hours prior, [at around 02:50] an adult male and his adult girlfriend were shot and killed In Feza Street, Harare, and shortly after that, a 35-year-old man was shot and killed not far from the first scene.

‘’Detectives attached to the Provincial Serious and Violent Crimes unit are pursuing a number of leads and are working around the clock to get to the bottom of three separate incidents that claimed the life of eight people in total,’’ said Colonel Andrè Traut.

‘’Preliminary investigations into the multiple murders in Harare [on Wednesday] morning led detectives to believe that two incidents that preceded the one in Ncumu Street could possibly be linked,’’ he added.

Police believes that the crimes could possibly be committed by the same suspects. Traut added that the identities of the eight victims cannot be disclosed at this stage.
