South Africa’s chief justice, Pius Langa, has been injured in a car accident in Johannesburg. The accident took place in Houghton at about 2pm on Friday.

Reports stated that Judge Langa said he was fortunate that he didn’t sustain any broken bones, but has a few flesh wounds and some of them are quite deep.

According to a Weekend paper, the judge refused to have his picture taken and he did not want to remember how his face looked.

Judge Langa has taken time off from work.
