The Learning Cape Festival (LCF) kicks off this week with an educational and fun-filled programme of events taking place in towns across the Western Cape.
More than 100 festival events will be staged all over the Western Cape until 8 September 2008.
“We are covering mostly the rural areas this year. When we come to the City, we’ll be in Mannenberg on 30 August and Khayelitsha on 6 August. During this month, each of these towns and communities will organise a festival,” said Beverley Barry, CEO of Learning Cape.
Businesses will be exhibiting, also CETA’s and FET colleges as well as all of the major universities will exhibit.
The LCF aims to develop and improve learning in the province and also promotes and reinforces a culture of lifelong learning. They are committed to aid the poor and needy by granting them access to learning.
