Delayed voting for the African National Congress provincial executive committee in the Eastern Cape has concluded with the election of Phumulo Masualle as chairperson.
Masualle, the health MEC for the Eastern Cape and the national treasurer of the SA Communist Party, received 1031 votes over finance MEC Mcebisi Jonas' 930 votes.
President Jacob Zuma yesterday criticised the meeting for the infighting that apparently delayed the voting process
