Cosatu joined by Business and Civil Society in the Western Cape will be handing over a memorandum to the Premier's office today.
COSATU’s Provincial Secretary Tony Ehrenreich says they have for a while now expressed their concerns about the disregard shown by the premier’s good offices to concerns of the social partners in the Western Cape on her commitment to building a participatory democracy.
“We are being forced into a position where protests and strike action may be the only way in which to impress on her office the seriousness with which we take the establishment of a participatory democracy,” said Ehrenreich
Cosatu says is looking forward for the premier to receive their memorandum and count on her earliest confirmation.
