One person has died and three injured when a truck believed to have broken down and rolled on the M3 near Travato Link, hitting two vehicles.
“One person was dead on arrival of emergency services and two other people were in a critical condition trapped in their vehicle”.
“The two patients, a male and female, were rescued by crews and transported to the recovery unit at Groote Schuur Hospital” said ER24 spokesperson Tristan Wadeley.
A technician who is believed to be working on the truck when it started rolling sustained serious injuries but he is in a stable condition added Wadeley.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
