An accident on the R27 in Atlantis and Melkbossstrand turnoff claimed the life a woman.
The accident occurred at noonday killing the female driver and injuring three police students who were traveling in the bus.
Police spokesperson Superintendent Andre Traut says the bus which was carrying SAPS students collided with the Neon Chrysler driven by the woman.
“Three of the police students in the bus were critcally injured and were admitted to local hospitals and other injuries were treated on the scene,” Traut said.
He says the circumstances surrounding the accident were now being investigated.
Earlier Metro Emergency Medical Services reported that the female driver was driving a VW Jetta and was fatally injured.
