A wage agreement has been reached between the South African Revenue Service and unions today.
Both unions, Nehawu and PSA, accepted and signed a collective agreement that will implement a salary increase of between 9 % and 11% on a sliding scale for SARS officials.
SARS Spokesperson Adrian Lackay ,says the wage increase will be back-dated from the 1st of July according to the agreement reached at the national bargaining forum today.
