Three members of the Westridge Street Committee were shot at the weekend, while on patrolling duties, following a confrontation with two men.

The street committee members were sitting around a bonfire, when they were approached by two armed men.

A 40 year old woman was shot in the right leg, a 56 year old man shot in the stomach and a wheel chair bound man fatally shot in the abdomen. He died on the scene.

No arrests have been made yet.
