President Jacob Zuma has condemned the behaviour of soldiers who took part in a violent protest march last month, saying they displayed a lack of social responsibility.
Addressing the National Economic Development Labour Council summit in Kempton Park, Zuma said this year's labour disputes demanded that “employers and workers revisit their interactions and styles of collective bargaining”.
Zuma said the soldiers and municipal workers failure to respect and disregard of the law and the rights of others showed a serious problem that had to be addressed through law enforcement.
