The South African Local Government Association says an application to halt a national strike by the Municipal Workers' Union planned for tomorrow has been struck off the roll.
The Johannesburg Labour Court ruled that the application lacked urgency.
But Salga will apply for a reinstatement of the application in order to get a determination on the legality of the strike. Salga chief executive Xolile George says if workers embark on the strike it will be at their own risk.
Samwu expects more than 130-thousand members in all nine provinces to down tolls tomorrow.
