A get-together was held at Camps Bay Beach yesterday in Cape Town.
People gathered to honour the 20-year-old body-boarder David Lilienfield.
Lilienfield was killed by a shark on Thursday in Kogel Bay.
Surfers from 31 countries also gathered in Panama to observe a moment of silence for the Lilienfield.
