Hit-and-run driver sought by Bishop Lavis police

Bishop Lavis police are seeking the assistance of the public to trace the driver of a motor vehicle that was involved in a hit and run incident in Bonteheuwel on Christmas Day.

‘’Reports suggest that an unknown male sustained fatal injuries when he was knocked over by a motor vehicle on Jakes Gerwel drive on Sunday, 25 December 2022 between 20:30 and 21:35,’’ said the police’s Ndakwe Gwala.

She added that the driver fled the scene in an unknown direction and that the victim was declared deceased on the scene by the medical personnel.
