ANC claims that Stellenbosch Municipality is excluding previously disadvantaged groups from economic development

The African National Congress (ANC) in the Western Cape has accused the Stellenbosch Municipality of excluding previously disadvantaged groups in economic development.

The party says the Democratic Alliance led municipality is excluding many communities from economic activity.

According to the ANC, the municipality’s policies are perpetuating racial inequalities and are further marginalising communities.

“The municipality is implementing policies without involving the community”, ANC Chief Whip in the Stellenbosch Municipality council, Monwabisi Rataza.
