Workers killed at Scaw Metals

Two workers from Scaw Metals were killed last night at a plant in Germiston.

The workers, who belonged to trade union Solidarity were apparently been killed between the 5 and 7PM.

“Representatives of the Department of Labour visited the scene earlier today and an internal investigation into the initial cause of the accident will commence today,” says Solidarity spokesperson Jaco Kleynhans.

The trade union will participate in the investigation of the accident and will release more details as soon as they become available.
