Eastern Cape traffic authorities say 11 people have died in three traffic accidents in the province.
The most serious incident happened last night when a bakkie overturned on the R-63 near Alice, killing six people.
Another six, including the driver, are seriously injured. All the victims are believed to be Fort Hare University students.
On the R-394 near Ford Donald a head-on collision claimed three lives yesterday afternoon.
Twenty-five people were injured in that crash. And two people died in an accident on the R-61 between Cradock and Graaff-Reinet.
