The Cape Town mother of the 16-year-old teenager allegedly being bullied at school said officials are doing little to help her son.

The teenager attends a special needs school in Milnerton.

The worried mother said her son often returns home with bruises on his face.

She suspects his reason for not speaking about it, might be because the bullying might worsen.

The 16-year-old apparently told his cousin how he is targeted when no teachers are around during break-time and in-between classes.

The mother lodged a complaint with the education department but she has not received any response.
