3 people killed in an accident

Three people have died and fifteen others were injured in a head-on collision between a taxi and a car on the R558 near the Grasmere Toll plaza in Gauteng this morning.

Netcare 911’s Chris Botha says emergency services arrived at the scene to find one of the vehicles ripped open from the front to the rear wheel.

He says three people died on impact while two were critically injured.

Seven others were considered seriously injured and six miraculously escaped with minor injuries.
