Western Cape Transport and Public Works MEC
Robin Carlisle today will be joining the Drive More Safely team in a bid to
collect used car seats to be distributed to parents who can not afford to buy
them.
The project was launched in February this year, and more than 600 seats have been given away.
The project aims to keep the safety of children who are transported to schools.
Ministry Spokesperson, Siphesihle Dube said the campaign allows parents with used car seats to come and donate them to the non-profit organization that then refurbishes them, and makes them available to those parents who cannot afford.
Dube further said the campaign will be running until Thursday at participating schools.
