Bloom: Gauteng health department failing not meeting the targets

The Democratic Alliance says the Gauteng health department is not meeting the targets it set out to complete in the last financial year.

The DA’s Jack Bloom says 257-million-Rands of the 419-million-Rands budget set aside for machinery and equipment was not spent.

Bloom attributes the bad use of funds to poor management. He says this form of incompetence needs to be rooted out.

He says Gauteng health is failing its own performance measures and it is very appalling.
