The City Of Cape Town have been busy with a high speed internet plan to modernize and enhance the lives of all people in and around Cape Town over the next ten years.

Mayor Patricia De Lille said the complete network will take around 10 years to install and will cost an estimated R1billion.
Further more it will be seen to make the lives of people easier on a day to day basis, these include giving doctors at hospitals and clinics a more rapid admission to professional advice from other facilities, allowing teachers to access experts in various fields of study and sharing this information with other schools on this network.
This will also ensure that people in poorer communities have access to the internet and will make waiting periods easier when submitting plan as it will allow them to do it online.
