The National Editors’ Forum has called on government to repeal or amend apartheid-era laws that are still in force.

The appeal was made during the annual meeting between the two parties in Magaliesburg, Gauteng, over the past two days.

In Sanef’s view, the laws unjustifiably restrict the free flow of information.

Cabinet indicated that work in this regard had already started and both parties committed to expediting the process.
