In order to assist motorists who will be travelling to their holiday destinations in the next few weeks, Cape Town Traffic Services will conduct free vehicle safety checks at the different traffic departments from 9h00 to 14h00 from 09 December 2008 to 09 January 2009.
Merle Lourens, spokesperson for Traffic Services says “we are inviting them to bring their vehicles for a safety check; this is not a roadworthy check it’s just a safety check to ensure that they have a safe trip.”
“Drivers are welcome to pop into at Cape Town traffic department in Green Point; they can use Kuilsriver, Bellville, Goodwood, Hillstar and Brakenfell if they want,” says Lourens
