Yesterday was the official launch of the Safer Summer Season initiative. This initiative was created in order to help promote awareness around a safer festive season and to make sure that everyone this season feels safe enough to o out and have fun.
MEC for Community Safety Patrick McKenzie said “I am very pleased it was a very good day, there were a lot of forums that were there as well. The police were there, the Community of Safety and Security, Business against crime was there and the mayor of Cape Town was there.”
Together they just had one consolidated plan to put a blanket of security over the city, said McKenzie.
