The National Housing Forum together with frustradted shack dwllers and backyard dwellers participated in a march to national and provincial parliament today.
The organisation is disgusted at the poor living conditions people are subjected to live in. The housing Forums N Mahala says that apart from the floods in winter and shack fires experienced in summer, community members are exposed to all kinds of diseases, amongst other things.
“These places are unsafe to live on. There are roads everywhere and people are being killed by speeding motorcars. Those sre the people who are failing to authorities. They must come with a speedy solution to this problem,” said Mahala.
