17 Drunk drivers were arrested over the weekend

The Western Cape Traffic Authorities held about 24 roadblocks over the weekend.

Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa said more than R170 000 worth of traffic fines were issued.

Africa said that more than 3 000 motorists were pulled over, and more than half of them were tested for drunk driving. 

He also said that 17 drivers were arrested for drunken driving.

He added that one pedestrian was arrested in Oudtshoorn
