Marikana judicial commission chairperson Ian Farlam says the families of the victims of the killings at Lonmin mine will get an opportunity to be part of the proceedings.
Two advocates requested a 14-day postponement as the commission started its inspection in North West today.
This was to allow families from the Eastern Cape to be brought to Marikana.
Farlam says the Department of Social Development is arranging to bring the affected families from rural areas.
