Sactwu starts wage negotiations

The South African Clothing and Textile Workers Union has started its annual wage negotiations in the clothing, textiles and leather sectors. 

During current negotiations employers for the three sectors has offered a wage freeze and a 5.5 percent wage increase. 

The clothing sector has already declared a national wage dispute following the employers offer. 

Sactwu’s Deputy General Secretary Chris Gina said in looking for a demand of 13% and annual leave, bonuses and also improve grading system.
