Two people left seriously injured on the N1

Two people were left seriously injured in an accident on the N1 by the Atterbury Road today.

Netcare 911 Spokesperson Santi Steinmann said upon the arrival on scene they found that a motor vehicle had collided with the barrier and then overturned.

Steinmann said the two occupants of the motor vehicle were found to be in a serious condition and after receiving treatment on scene they were rushed to hospital for further medical care.

The exact details of the cause of the accident will remain the subject of a police investigation.
