Upon the announcement that Mr
Vavi is starting an independent labour federation, COPE has gone out to welcome
it. Congratulating Mr Vavi on this initiative. COPE’s Dennis Bloem explains.
‘’The Congress
of the People wants to welcome the New Labour Federation that will be launched
in May. Since our inception, we have said that labour Trade Unions, must be independent
from Political Parties’’.
He concluded…’’we don’t want to see any labour organisation
linked to a political party, that’s why we are saying we are welcoming this new
formation or initiative by Mr Vavi’’.
