The 11 Du Noon residents who lost their homes at the weekend have this morning received building materials to rebuild their homes.
The fire destroyed four shacks in Potsdam Road on Sunday.
Johan Minnie of Disaster Management says residents have received wooden planks and sheets of corrugated iron to help start rebuilding their homes.
In cases like this the city usually offers a hall to accommodate fire survivors, but the Du Noon residents decided to live with relatives.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
