The MEC for Local Government and Housing in the Western Cape, Richard Dyantyi will be handing over completed houses to beneficiaries of Mandela Park, Mossel Bay on Thursday.
“This project is one of the projects that have been delayed since 2000 due to technicalities that were found between the people who are responsible for the building and the municipality,” says spokesperson for the MEC, Vusi Tshose.
He adds that when the MEC learned about the difficulties and problems, he then instructed Thubelisha homes to be part of the project so that they can resolve any difficulties, and in this way the project could go back to normal.
“So tomorrow (Thursday) we are celebrating the first hand over of those houses, and we will be handing over more than 50 houses to the potential beneficiaries,” says Tshose.
