Minister of education Naledi Pandor has sent messages of good luck to the Matric class of 2007. The Grade 12 learners of 2007 have had a very tough year.
The Minister wishes the 599 405 matric learners in particular as they have endured the nurturing and guidance by teachers, principals and parents.
The number of learners writing their Senior Certificate Examinations each year has been growing since 2005.
“Despite the challenges that have confronted us in 2007, the minister is appreciative of the additional effort and sacrifices that were made by learners, parents, administrators and teachers,” says Lunga Ngqengelele from the Ministry of Education.
The minister urges all matric learners to be calm in the examination period and to seek assistance from school, family and friends in times of anxiety
